Document Destruction Procedure
The
following delineates our standard security protocol for
confidential document disposal and destruction. After
documents are discarded by company employees into provided
locked security containers, security staff collects paper from
the point of generation security containers into ADSC
96-gallon locked security containers.
All locked 96-gallon security containers are placed in
the secure area for ADSC scheduled pick up.
ADSC Carrier picks up full, locked 96-gallon security
containers and drops off empty, unlocked, replacement security
containers. Empty
security containers are re-distributed by the security staff
for the paper collection.
All full 96-gallon locked security containers are
transported to ADSC truck.
After containers are placed on the truck, the security
seal and Babaco alarm are reinforced.
All
locked 96-gallon security containers are transported by ADSC
bonded security carriers to Brooklyn Army Terminal Facility
for destruction. When
containers are delivered to the operations facility they are
inspected by the operations supervisor.
For increased security, all documents that are
delivered at the same time are commingled before they are
shredded. An
entire operation facility is under CCTV security surveillance.
All documents are shredded and bailed on the day of the
pick up. All
shredded material is then shipped to local paper mills for
recycling. A
Certificate of Destruction is issued for each pick-up and
destruction.
